This guide outlines the admission process for MBA (Finance) / MBA (Marketing) programs at KES School of Business and Technology for academic year 2025-26, following State CET Cell and DTE Maharashtra guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria and Entrance Examinations

Academic Qualifications

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with minimum 50% aggregate marks. For Maharashtra reserved category candidates and persons with disability, the minimum requirement is 45%.

The degree must be recognized by the UGC or the Association of Indian Universities.

Entrance Examination

Applicants must have appeared for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET or hold a valid score in one of the following accepted tests:

  • ATMA
  • CMAT
  • MAT
  • GMAT

Nationality

The applicant must be a citizen of India to be eligible for admission through the state CAP rounds.

International students should contact the international admissions office for specific requirements.

Entrance Examination Details

The primary entrance examination for MBA/MMS programs in Maharashtra is MAH-MBA/MMS-CET conducted by the State CET Cell.

  • Registration period: December 25, 2024 to January 25, 2025
  • Examination dates: March 17-19, 2025
  • Exam format: Computer-based test with Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and Verbal Ability / Reading Comprehension.

Candidates using CAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, or GMAT scores should still register on the MAH CET portal and pay the applicable admission fee.

Centralised Admission Process (CAP) and Timeline

Registration and Document UploadJune 28 – July 14, 2025, up to 5 PM. Register on the CET portal, complete the application form, and upload required documents.
Document VerificationJune 30 – July 15, 2025, up to 5 PM. Choose e-scrutiny or physical scrutiny at a facilitation centre.
Merit Lists and Option FormJuly 19-28, 2025. Includes provisional merit list, grievance submission, final merit list, seat matrix display, and option form submission.
CAP Rounds I-IIIJuly 31 – August 25, 2025. Follow allotment and reporting dates carefully for each round.
Institute-level AdmissionsSeptember 6-13, 2025, for remaining vacant seats after CAP rounds.

Step-by-Step Admission Process

Freeze Option

Accept the allotted seat, pay the seat-acceptance fee, and report to the institute.

Betterment Option

Accept the current seat while participating in subsequent rounds for higher preferences.

Reject Option

Decline the current allotment and wait for later rounds. This carries the risk of not securing a seat.

Important: Missing any deadline can result in exclusion from that round or the entire admission process.

First Year MBA/ MCA Admission

First Year MBA/ MCA Admission

The admission process has started for the First Year MBA/MCA programs.

  • KES Shroff College Application form.
  • Graduation Marksheet.
  • Entrance Test Score Card.
  • Students who have secured admission through CAP rounds should submit DTE allotment letter and Facilitation Center letter.
  • PROFORMA ‘O’ (For Minority Candidates).
  • Domicile Certificate (Compulsory for all students).
  • Statement of Marks of Std. X Examination (S.S.C.).
  • Statement of Marks of Std. XII Examination (H.S.C.).
  • Statement of Marks for Bachelor’s Degree Examination (i.e. The Qualifying Degree Exam.) a) Convocation Degree Certificate       b) Passing Certificate ( If graduated in current year)
  • Digital Transference Certificate from the college last attended by the students to be submitted within 15 days.
  • Gap Certificate (Affidavit on Rs. 100/- stamp paper or as required by Competent Authority duly notarized), if graduated prior to the current year.
  • Aadhar Card Copy (mandatory).
  • Certificate of Work Experience/ Achievement/ Award etc (2 copies only).
  • Physical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner (Original Copy only).
  • Latest color Photograph: 3 Nos. (Identical Passport size with White Background Only).
  • For Students passing qualifying examination from other than University of Mumbai will also have to submit the following within 15 days (with 4 attested copies).
  • Eligibility Certificate from University of Mumbai.
  • Migration Certificate (other than Maharashtra Board).
  • Validity / Verification Report from their University.
  • Students belonging to the Reserved Category will have to submit the following (with 4 attested copies).
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Caste Validity.
  • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (In case of NT2/NT3/OBC) Certificate should be valid up to 31.03.2025.
  • Affidavit by parents/students on anti – ragging.
  • Acknowledgement of receipt of Rules & Regulations of the Institute.
  • Fees Receipt.
  • Income Certificate issued by Tehsildar (Maharashtra State), for FY 20023-24 (if candidate is applying for scholarship, only students admitted through CAP round can apply for the EBC/Minority Scholarship).
  • Undertaking of Fees payment.

First Year Admission

The admission processhas started for the First Year Degree programs.

  1. Fill the Pre-enrollment form of the University of Mumbai through the University portal (https://muugadmission.samarth.edu.in/). Select the autonomous option programmes offered by KES Shroff College.
  2. Fill online admission form by registering yourself on https://enrollonline.co.in/Registration/Apply/kessc

  4. Upload a copy of the pre-enrollment form, HSC mark sheet/Degree Certificates/digital result, caste/reservation certificate if applicable, and E-Suvidha ticket.
  5. On the declaration of merit list (first then second then third if applicable) pay the fees along with submission of the documents such as Undertaking regarding admission confirmation, SSC(X marksheet), Leaving Certificate, Adhar card, scanned copy of Cheque book leaflet/bank account details and transfer certificate in case the student is from outside Maharashtra.

Eligibility

  1. Undergraduate Programmes :- A candidate for being eligible for admission to any Degree programme  will have to pass XII Std. examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from any recognized Board and secure not less than 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in aggregate at one and the same sitting.           Reservation of Seats: Reservations are as per the Government policy.

          Duration of Programme: 8 Semesters spread over 4 years. The programme shall consist of 176 credits.

Enforcement of Attendance:

Our college is a pioneer institute in introducing the computerized attendance system. The computerized defaulters’ lists are displayed division wise regularly at the end of every month on the Students Notice Board. The students failing to fulfill the required attendance shall be DETAINED and shall not be permitted to take the Annual / Board examination. Warning letters from the Principal are sent to parents of the defaulting students. The letters are given to the concerned students by the class teachers in the classrooms. The students must hand over these warning letters to the parents. Students should note that fulfilling the attendance requirement alone will not qualify them to appear for the examination. Their academic performance should also be to the satisfaction of the principal.

General Rules & Regulations:

  1. Every student should obtain an ID card and show at the entry
  2. Students should not loiter in the corridors when the lectures are engaged
  3. Giving proxy attendance is a serious act of indiscipline
  4. Students applying for certificates/testimonials and attestation should first contact the college office
  5. Ragging is strictly prohibited on the college premises
  6. The use of mobile phones inside the college is strictly prohibited. If caught using a cell phone it is confiscated for a period of 1 year

Punitive Measures:

  2. Cancellation of admission
  3. Refusal to grant admission in future
  4. Withholding or withdrawing of University exam form
  5. Expulsion / rustication from college
  6. Fine not exceeding Rs. 300
  7. Non-refund of fees and deposits

Eligibility

       2. Postgraduate Programmes:- A candidate for being eligible for admission to any Postgraduate programme will have to have any Degree in the relevant subject in the faculty of Arts/Commerce/Science from any recognized University and must secure not less than 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in aggregate at one and the same sitting.

           Reservation of Seats: Reservations are as per the Government policy.

           Fees: As prescribed by the University of Mumbai. The details have been mentioned on the college Notice board and the College website www.kessc.edu.in

           Duration of Programme: 4 Semesters spread over 2 years.
