Department of Film, Television, and New Media Production

Established in 2014, the Department of Film, Television, and New Media Production at KES Shroff College has been at the forefront of media education, blending creativity with technical expertise. Since 2021, under the leadership of Dr. Raavi Parihar Batra, the department has expanded its academic offerings and industry collaborations, ensuring students receive comprehensive exposure to the evolving media landscape.

We offer two full-fledged programs:
• Bachelor in Film, Television, and New Media Production (BFTNMP)
• Master in Film, Television, and New Media Production (MAFTNMP)

In addition to these degree programs, the department also offers specialized certificate courses designed to equip students with practical skills in various domains of filmmaking and media production.

Our department boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, including:
• A fully equipped production studio
• A dedicated sound studio with dubbing facilities
• Green screen and chroma key technology
• High-tech cameras and advanced media equipment
• A cutting-edge post-production lab with industry-standard software

To bridge the gap between academia and the industry, we organize an annual film festival, providing a platform for students to showcase their work. Additionally, the department conducts regular industry visits (IVs) to leading media houses and production studios, ensuring hands-on learning experiences.

Our alumni and students have successfully carved their paths in the media industry, working with prestigious companies such as Netflix, Sony, Viacom18, Jio, Jio Cinema, Disney+ Hotstar, and BBC, among others. They contribute as freelancers and full-time professionals, reflecting the department’s strong industry relevance and commitment to nurturing future media professionals.
