About the Friday School of Economics(FSE)
The Friday School of Economics (FSE) is a student-driven academic forum that promotes interactive and interdisciplinary learning in economics and in related fields of social sciences every Friday and hence the name – Friday School of Economics. Established in 2014-15, it aims to move beyond traditional classroom teaching by encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and research on real-world economic issues. FSE organizes activities such as debates, seminars, presentations, and guest lectures competitions, allowing students from diverse academic backgrounds to engage with topics linking from economics to politics, history, and society at local, regional and global level. It serves as a platform for developing analytical skills, research aptitude, and a deeper understanding of contemporary economic challenges.
