Research is defined as the creation of new knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies and understandings. Education is an integral aspect of every society and in a bid to expand the frontiers of knowledge, We believe educational research must become a priority because it plays a vital role in the overall development of pedagogy, learning programs, and policy formulation.

The goal of a Research Center at KESSC is to enable interaction between faculty, scholars, students, and industry to enhance research opportunities, academic excellence, real-world problem solving, and knowledge creation and dissemination.

The Research and Development Cell of KES’ Shroff College of Arts and Commerce has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uniglobe College, a Pokhara University affiliate based in Kathmandu, Nepal, in the year 2025. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence, research advancement, and global engagement. The MoU aims to foster a mutually beneficial partnership through joint research initiatives, academic exchange of knowledge, and the organization of seminars, conferences, workshops, and training programs. It also facilitates opportunities for student and faculty exchange, thereby enhancing cross-cultural learning and institutional capacity building. With a duration of five years, this collaboration strengthens international academic linkages and promotes innovation, research, and holistic development among students and faculty of both institutions.

As part of this partnership, both institutions jointly organized the International Students’ Research Conference on “Fostering Research, Resilience & Renewal among Young Scholars” on 17th September 2025. Additionally, a Talk on Academic Writing was conducted by Prof. Mariam Seedat – Khan, further enriching students’ research and scholarly skills.
