About National Service Scheme
The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension [DLLE] (known earlier as Department of Adult and Continuing Education and Extension) established on October 12, in the Year 1978 and has been recognized as a statutory Department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the Universities and the community. The DLLE offers flexible Continuing Education opportunities for the people.

NSS at KESSC
DLLE at KES we aspire to reach unreached and explore the unexplored. We aspire to provide a platform for different talents and skills by means of different events and activities. Our goal is to incorporate the experience and research-based learning that enhances the student as an individual personality.
- To promote aims and values of human development in community, college, and university
- To provide of forum and place for the exchange of ideas, innovation, and research
- To increase the representative voice of those traditionally underserved and ignored in society
- To encourage interaction, support and networking among all student’s affairs
A DLLE volunteer who takes part in the community service programme would either be a college-level or a senior secondary level student. Being an active member these student volunteers would have the exposure and experience to be the following:
- an accomplished social leader
- an efficient administrator
- a person who understands human nature
