At KES Shroff College of Arts and Commerce, we believe that faculty are the cornerstone of academic transformation. The Faculty Development Centre (FDC) is a strategic initiative of the college, envisioned to cultivate a robust culture of reflective teaching, continuous learning, and professional excellence. In alignment with the college’s vision of nurturing socially responsible, ethically grounded, and intellectually vibrant individuals, the FDC focuses on enabling educators to evolve as facilitators, mentors, and thought leaders.

The Centre started functioning in 2020–21 as one of the ‘Centers for Excellence’, and since its inception, Faculty Development workshops, Staff Induction Programs, Workshops on OBE, Healing of the Mind and much more has been organized. Situated within the broader academic ecosystem of KES Shroff College, the FDC is not merely a training unit but a knowledge catalyst that encourages innovation in pedagogy, curriculum enrichment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technology-enabled education. It provides a structured yet flexible environment for faculty to deepen their subject expertise, reimagine their teaching practice, engage in meaningful research, and respond to the ever-changing demands of higher education in India and beyond.

The Centre actively works towards fostering inclusive classroom environments, critical inquiry, and sustainable academic leadership. It also aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, equipping faculty with tools and insights necessary to prepare students for real-world challenges.
