Bachelor of Science in Data Science (B.Sc. DS) is a three-year graduate programme dedicated to provide the required set of skills useful for data analysis. Data Science is an interdisciplinary field that cartel the concept of programming, mathematics and business together. Combined with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, it helps to identify a future trend which can be used to derive actionable insights for creating future impact. It also includes the emerging topics such as Big Data Analytics, Neural Networks, Data Visualization, and Data Modeling to deal with vast data from various business domains. These skills will help learner prepare for the role of a Data Scientist. As a Data Science aspirant, student will be emphasizing of the knowledge to share from the quantitative analysis to programming concept and extended to business intelligence. Data science can add value to any business which can use the data well.

Why this Programme
Data has been called “the oil of the digital economy” (Wired) because of its immense potential; Data analysis enable completely new generations of technological solutions: Machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) is one example where we see great changes already happening. But in other areas, advanced statistics drive new developments: For instance, data on user behaviour and predictive analytics help companies improve the user interfaces (UI) of their software products; and detailed performance analysis help businesses track the return-on-investment (ROI) of their marketing campaigns.
Data and information have become the key resources in a wide range of industries. With the increase of computing power and digital storage come many new possibilities that – just ten to fifteen years ago – were beyond our imagination.Data experts are needed in banking and finance, automotive, energy, healthcare, transport, retail, and virtually every domain you can think of. And because data drives decisions – from small regional offices to the boardroom – graduates from study programmes in Data Science will be directly involved in important strategic decision-making processes. If you are a specialist who knows how to “crunch the numbers”, you will be a valuable team member in many parts of an organisation.
- Apply quantitative modelling and data analysis techniques to the solution of real-world business problems, communicate findings, and effectively present results using data visualization techniques.
- Recognize and analyse ethical issues in business related to intellectual property, data security, integrity, and privacy.
- Apply ethical practices in everyday business activities and make well-reasoned ethical business and data management decisions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of statistical data analysis techniques utilized in business decision making.
- Apply principles of Data Science to the analysis of business problems.
- Use data mining software to solve real-world problems.
- Employ cutting edge tools and technologies to analyse Big Data.
- Demonstrate use of team work, leadership skills, decision making and organization theory.
A graduate with a B.Sc. in Data Science will have the ability to
PSO1. Demonstrate mastery of Data Science in the following core knowledge areas:
• Statistics, Data Structures and Programming Languages
• Databases, Big data, and cloud computing, Computer networking
• Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning,Data Visualization
PSO2. Apply problem-solving skills and the knowledge data Science and computing fundamentals to solve real world problems.

Alumni“The First Step Towards Getting Somewhere is to Decide that you are not going to stay where you are” I would Like to express my gratitude towards our Principal Madam, Vice Principal Sir, Co-ordinator, and the entire faculty of KES Shroff College for helping me reach where I am now.nd I feel so proud when I say I was a student of KES Shroff College. Thank you for making me the person I am today. I have learned many things whether it was practical or theoretical knowledge, the College always supported me and other students and gave us the platform to participate in a number of activities and exploring ourselves. Professors of KES Shroff College were so kind and calm and always ready to support their students any time and helped them stand on their own feet . I also got the opportunity to be the Secretary of the Banca Association. I will never ever forget those moments which I have spent in the BANCA Association where we had lots of fun and at the same time organized events. Really missing my college days.

AlumniMy three years degree course in the Banking and Finance were among the best years of my life. My experience at KES Shroff College not only made me a better person but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. Through workshops with incredibly supportive classmates, and professors who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover a voice I didn’t know I had. That voice has played a central role in my work. Having been shaped in part by the collegial and creative, yet rigorous, environment at KESSC, I found myself able to communicate, innovate, and collaborate in ways that enabled me to build a successful rewarding career. It was a wonderful time in my life, and the best educational experience I’ve had.

AlumniI've never had so much fun as I did being a student at KES Shroff college. So many extra circular activities happening regularly, I always wanted to participate in everything. Along with the extra circular, the teaching faculty at the college is truly amazing as well. They would make sure that every student present is understanding the topic being taught. Overall, it's not just a college but rather a complete experience. The teachers, consider student's points of view and make sure the students are not being overburdened at any moment.
