Key Responsibilities
1. Training on New Teaching Aids and Learning Tools
CELT provides specialized training sessions for faculty members on the latest teaching aids and learning tools. This includes hands-on workshops and seminars that introduce innovative methods for enhancing classroom engagement and learning effectiveness.
2. MOOCs and Online Learning Platforms
We support educators in integrating Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) into their curriculum, enabling students to access diverse learning resources. Our training covers best practices for leveraging these platforms to supplement traditional teaching.
3. AI in Teaching and Research
Recognizing the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence, CELT offers training on the use of AI in teaching, including personalized learning approaches and data-driven insights. We also guide faculty in using AI tools for research writing, streamlining the research process and improving scholarly outputs.
4. Advising on Procurement of Educational Tools
CELT plays an advisory role in the procurement of new teaching tools and technologies. By staying abreast of the latest advancements, we ensure that the college invests in tools that are effective, user-friendly, and aligned with our educational goals.
5. ICT Infrastructure Management
Maintaining a robust Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure is crucial for modern education. CELT oversees the upkeep and enhancement of ICT resources, ensuring that teachers have the necessary tools to conduct lectures efficiently.
6. Training on Hybrid Teaching Tools
In response to the growing need for flexible teaching modalities, CELT offers comprehensive training in hybrid teaching tools. This includes instruction on using platforms such as Zoom and Teachmint’s Connected Classroom app, enabling educators to conduct seamless hybrid lectures that cater to both in-person and remote learners.
